The 34rd Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON is open to participants 16 years of age and older (born in 1998 and before).
The confirmation you need to pick up your start number will be sent to you via email in mid-March.
There will be separate results for men and women. Categories are established according to regulations (LAO) of the German Athletic Federation DLV.
Category Year of Birth Masters 1985 - 1994 Seniors 1984 and older Youth A + B (boys/girls) 1995 - 1996
There will be separate lists of results for inline skaters, power walkers, wheelchair athletes, and hand cyclists.
The start and finish area is located on Karl-Marx-Allee near the "Kino International" movie theatre (subway U5 to get off at "Schillingstrasse" or "Strausberger Platz").
Changing Tents and Showers
Changing tents and showers will be available in the finish area (lockers/security not provided).
Race Number Pick Up
Race numbers may be picked up at the BERLIN VITAL Expo from March 27th to March 29th 2014. Participants must bring a copy of their confirmation email to receive their numbers. Number pick up will be available in the start area on race day for those unable to attend the Expo; however, we encourage you to pick up your number prior to race day to avoid long lines in the start area.
Both the pre-ordered Adidas technical shirts and the official event shirt will be distributed at the BERLIN VITAL Expo. The coupons required to pick up pre-ordered shirts will be attached to the race numbers.
ChampionChip owners should bring their personal timing chip to the Expo to be tested.
The time limit for runners and power walkers is 3 hours (2.10 p.m.). Police authorities require that we remove participants from the course who are unable to stay under the required pace. They will be transported to the finish area by bus.
BERLIN VITAL Expo
The BERLIN VITAL Expo highlights the latest lifestyle, fitness, wellness, health, and nutrition products and trends. On-site experts can provide advice and information as you explore the many exhibitions available for you at the Expo. The BERLIN VITAL is also the location of race number pick up.
Each participant of the 34rd Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON plus two guests, as well as individuals under the age of 18, have free entrance.
The BERLIN VITAL Expo is located at Airport Tempelhof (Subway U6, Platz der Luftbrücke) from Thursday, March 27th through Saturday, march 29.th.

All participants will receive a medal at the finish line (until 1:45 p.m.). Preliminary certificates can be picked up in the finish area approximately 45 minutes after your finish and also be available online later that evening. An official personal certificate with time and rank and a result list will be sent to finishers by mail.
The winners in each age category receive free registration for the 2015 BERLIN HALF MARATHON.
The results for the power walkers are listed alphabetically with times rather than by ranking.
There will be free refreshment points on the course (KM 6, 10, 14, 17). Water, tea, and fruit are available in the finish area.
The course is monitored and supervised by a medical team. The Doctors on duty have the right and responsibility to remove from the race any runner demonstrating signs of injuries or overexertion.
